According to the Course Description Guide:
Pre-Algebra
2 semesters – 1 credit
Pre-Algebra is a two-semester course, which provides students with an introduction to the concepts of Algebra and Geometry. At the same time students will solidify their grasp of arithmetic concepts and procedures. It also provides exploratory experiences in data analysis and probability. A student who is successful in this course should be ready to move on to Algebra and Geometry.
Students in this course will work with the following:
• Solve equations and inequalities using integers
• Solve equations and inequalities using decimals and fractions
• Use of ratios, proportions and percent
• Graphing linear equations and inequalities
